2025 Autumn Adventure Photo Tour
October 13th - 16th
Overview:
Join me for my Autumn Adventure Photo Tour in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula! Our focus this year will be on the western end of the upper peninsula and we’ll be visiting familiar and some not so familiar areas for a wide variety of photo opportunities. We will kick things off in the Porcupine Mountains with popular areas such as Lake of the Clouds and the surrounding area. Moving on from there, I hope to visit Little Presque Isle River, the scenic Black River and outlying areas. We’ll get down to Bond Falls and hopefully one or two places you’ve never been before.
Who it’s for:
This photo tour is for people who want to venture out into Michigan’s great north woods but are uncertain where to go or would like to be part of an informal gathering of like-minded individuals or are uncomfortable venturing out alone. Our itinerary will not be set in stone and if you have a specific spot in mind, we’ll consider it. I’m limiting this to a small group so that we can take advantage of some off the grid spots without people getting in each other’s way.
Experience | Difficulty
- Amateur, enthusiast and semi-pro photographers. Should have a basic knowledge of your camera and manual mode settings
- Moderate schedule, with early mornings before sunrise and shooting through sunset. We will break for a late breakfast/brunch as well as an evening dinner
- Moderate elevation changes and lots of hiking / walking requiring a moderate level of agility and fitness.
- All excursions are undertaken at your own risk. If any of the locations seem beyond your ability, you are free to skip that location.
When:
October 13th-16th. We’ll convene Monday afternoon for a sunset shoot and will disband after a sunrise shoot on Thursday.
Not included in fee:
- Meals - Lodging - Transportation
Lodging:
Lodging is at your own expense. The Americinn in Silver City is my personal recommendation and is near our starting point most mornings.
Cost:
$500 per person - Due at registration
Cancellation:
Cancelations must be made 30 days before the photo tour. After that, you will forfeit your payment but may use it towards a future tour. If the tour is cancelled by me, because of reasons beyond my control, you will be given a full refund.
